We were contacted by our friends at Audi with a requirement for a speedy refresh ahead of an important site audit. In contrast to the rest of their prestigious forecourt, their existing testing station frontage looked tired and presented a negative visual impact.
After conducting a thorough site survey, we presented the client with several options to consider, taking into account factors such as cost, speed, safety, and visual impact.
The conclusion drawn was that we would construct an entirely new framework across the building’s front elevation. This was necessary as the existing glass panes could not be used due to their condition. As well as the new framework forming a solid foundation for a new clad, it also reinforced building security.
Once the structure was in place and we were happy with its integrity, we began the process of cladding in gloss black ACM panels. These were fitted in a floor-to-ceiling configuration to ensure a seamless finish. Each colour-coded screw was intrinsically measured out and fixed in a mirrored sequence. Fixings were minimalistic to allow for a clean look and thermal movement but without compromising safety.
Once the entire clad was completed across the front elevation, we applied new decal vinyl to the centres of each parking bay.
Progressing on to the doorway elevations presented further challenges. Each ACM panel had to be individually crafted on site to fit within particular areas; a framework was not viable on this elevation, so a direct-to-frame installation was required.
Once the cladding process was completed, each return section was beautifully finished with folded corner angles to leave an impressionable final product.
In addition to the new cladding, we also removed existing damaged window graphics and replaced them with new high-resolution images, creating a great focal point for approaching traffic and pedestrians.
Lastly, we rebranded several signs across the site’s car storage areas.
Audi went on to enjoy a remarkable result with their site audit, and this certainly reflected well on us. Our client was extremely happy, and we have since been contacted by them and various other branches to assist them with further branding requirements.
